📷 Media library (your own images)
With the account media library you upload logos, favicons, background images and images for image fields directly into propform — no external image hosting needed. Once uploaded, an image is available in all forms of your account.
Where do I find the media library?
The library has no menu page of its own — it opens as a dialog wherever an image can be used. Simply click the “Choose image” button next to the respective image field:
- Form logo, favicon and background image (editor → “Design” section)
- Image field in the form (field type “Image”)
- Account logo and default background (account settings → form styling)
- Logo in the PDF design
The image picker
The dialog has three tabs:
| Tab |
Function |
| Library |
All images already uploaded to your account. One click selects the image, “Apply” inserts it. |
| Upload |
Upload a new image — by clicking or simply dragging it in (drag & drop). |
| External URL |
As before: enter a link to an externally hosted image. Depending on where it is used, macros are possible too. |
Formats & limits
- Formats: PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, SVG and ICO
- Maximum 5 MB per file — very large images are automatically downscaled proportionally on upload (longest edge 2560 pixels)
- Quota per account: 100 images or 100 MB of total storage. The current usage is shown at the bottom of the picker.
Deleting images
In the “Library” tab you can delete images again. If an image is still used somewhere (e.g. as a form's logo), propform warns you beforehand and shows you the affected places — if you delete it anyway, those places will no longer display the image.
Good to know
- Uploaded images are stored on propform storage and are served directly in public forms — you no longer need Unsplash, the onOffice file management or your own web space for this.
- External URLs still work everywhere. Existing forms with externally hosted images keep working unchanged.
- The library is account-wide: your staff members (in the editor) access the same images too.
